2006 - Quarter 2

Beginning of the Visitors' book

Your texts are dark red, those of "Atheisme: the capital man" are in black.

Does absolutelity exist?
When one say the phrase "there is NO ABSOLUTE", one had already Made an ABSOLUTE statement..
Truth is truth, regardless of what one believes or CHOOSE to believe..
The question came by where one should think WHY one chose to believe or WHY one choose not to... think about it... the reason beneath your absolute statement..

I believe we must keep our minds open to all the possibilites, I cannot simply right off anyones idea of "religion" beceause for some religion is in their bones. Who am I to say that anyone is wrong or right? I think we just need to be more tollerant, and less ignorant.
(Atheist / June 8, 2006 - 06:13 pm)

Theists more often than not, being unable to intellectually prove the existence of the ONE or the SINGULARITY or the FIRST CAUSE, drift into really strange ideas. When asked why the reading material in Sahaj Marg refered to God as Him, their Guru, Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari
aka Chari, a Chemical engineer and retired CEO/ mill manager said: God is Male, Nature is Female. That should end the intellectual part of the discussion !!! LOL
In that case, I could be an Atheist. I certainly am not one of "those".

I'm sorry that you can't believe in God and that we can have life after death. I believe God has made salvation so easy that all might be saved. For me, I can't see it any other way. Thanks for letting me express my views.
(Protestant / June 4, 2006 - 09:20 am)

If God created everything as they say, then what created God?
(Atheist / June 2, 2006 - 08:52 pm)

If nothing existed, I could not say that I was an "atheist". Since something exists, I must say that either "something" always existed or "something" had a "beginning" or a "First Cause" and may have an end. If "Something" always existed (is eternal), there is no possibility of a creator or "First Cause", but maybe a LAW or a series of repeating coherent Patterns. Now Man can implant a mythical God or gods (nature) at any point in this "something".

If "something" did not always exist, then the First Cause would have to containt a "latent" imprint of all possibilities or an "implicit" existence throughout eternity that becomes "explicit" or created at intervals in its eternal existence and this Universe is one of those explicit out-breaths of this Implicit eternal.

The Mind, being inside the Illusion of Time, will never know the Eternal and can only touch the infinite when it gets outside of Time (ie in mediation, trance, etc..)

Intellectually, we will never know if there is a God or not. Emotionally, we hope there is something. Spiritually, we feel there must be something further that we can reach (timelessness) on the "INSIDE". Am I an Atheist? I Don't Know!!!!

The best I can do is to Love and respect both the Atheist and the Believer, so as to make a better world here in this multi-dimensional world , and just in case one (the Believer) is right!!!
(4d-don / 21/05/06 - 20:24)

I dislike the slight to my knowledge that limits me to not "believe" god doesn't exist. I know god does not exist, I know I am sitting on a chair... I should not undermine my awareness to say "I believe I am sitting on a chair".

Thanks to god I'm still alive

While I do not require additional arguments to confirm my beliefs, it is still interesting to see how others appoach the issue.
(Atheist / April 30, 2006 - 09:32 om)

Deist seems closest to my religious preference. I believe that there may be a creator but that he/she/it is uncaring and certainly not worthy of worship.

This site is written with intelligence, wit, and compassion for the condition of the human animal.

Give a believer a centimetre and he will take a kilometre and if you don't give another he will say you are doomed.
(Atheist / April 24, 2006 - 03:49 pm)

I would say I'm agnostic, because it's very close, but actually I'm Universist. When I was little, I believed in God in theory, but I didn't really thought much about that. Only since a few years back I have a formed religious opinion. As a Universist, I believe in the search of true. Being simply atheist and only that is not even a philosophy. And you have to know that believing in some kind of divinity or supernatural is natural of the human. When someone tells me about supernatural things that happened, I don't officially believe, but in the inside I kind of believe, not seriously. So I think men must have a pseudo-believe.
